I have these listed in order of preference based upon performance. Most mechanical drives transfer data at 120MB\/s for smaller files only. SSDs often maximize the SATA 6 links at close to 150MB\/s. NVMe drives range from 1000MB\/s to 4000MB\/s transfer speeds depending upon the cost and size of the devices. Generally larger devices are faster in the NVMe category. Also a very significant bump in performance for PCIe Gen4 NVMe devices over the PCIe Gen3 counterparts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
